Still not made any progress on my portfolio but I have had some really good news :D I've finally got my 3rd and final interview am soo excited for it.
The front page of my portfolio is still baffling me I can't work out what to do, photo of me, drawing, graphic or something new. As usual everyone says something different :| they either like front pages or are annoyed by them. As first impressions are everything I don't want someone to see it and be instantly annoyed with me, I kno if I was to put a pic of myself on I wud probably get really annoyed, especially if I was pulling a funny face. But then putting an image with my name isn't very personal so what to do?? And onli a week to go ahhhh!!

So far I have made no progress with my portfolio :( I feel like I take 1 step forward an 2 back its so frustrating.
This frustration is mainly due to the fact I spent hours painting my poppy page, which i was told to do by
1 tutor, to then have another say that they preferred the photocopy grr am actually going to pull my hair out :(
At least I've now learnt NOT to listen to any of them and go with what I think.
The only problem is I dunno what I think anymore.

First update of the portfolio posts
This page is one of the first main pages in both my sketchbook and now my portfolio :)
For both I did basically the same thing the only difference was that I had to photocopy the one for my portfolio and then paint it. The poppies were made by crocheting wool into different shaped petals and sewing them together. Unfortunately i have to use the same poppies from my sketchbook but its all for the greater good!

So I've been absent from posting for a little while now and I'm really sorry, there's no excuse except from the fact that I have uni interviews coming up.
Hence the panic and freak out, so before Xmas I had to send off my application and I got replies almost instantly so now i have 2 interviews all set up :/
For these I need a nice fancy portfolio which shows of my talents for the 24th of this month ppph, that's not gonna happen. This is one of the most difficult things I have ever had to do, for a few reasons
• Choosing what to put in, one of the hardest parts have almost pulled my hair out trying to find the best stuff.
• How to show a whole project in 4 pages.
• Photocopying, is never any body's best friend it's a pain in the ass!
• How to turn fashion design work into costume design :/
• What illustration work to use, historical drawings or college stuff
• Front page or no front page
• Finally showing off all of my work not just photographs I like.
Between photocopying things and then having to repaint things and trying to work out what to put in and how to make it look like me :/ with all of this stuff going through my mind I've not had any time to post.
My latest blogging brainwave at the moment is to post a few pages of sketchbook and portfolio work each day this way I will hopefully get my posts up & get some feedback.
So stay tuned and please don't get too bored!!

.. And I'm soo excited :) for the first time in a few years I'm actually in the christmassy mood, and it's so good. I can't wait for the day but I don't want it to be over too quickly :(
:D the decorations are up, the presents are all wrapped, the food has been got, it's time for the big day finally!! It's come round too quick but it's time to enjoy.

The other day the all American rejects posted a video of a track from their new album. At the time I didn't think much about it but today I saw another post and thought I wud check it out.
Now I already love aar so I'm very biased but I think this song is epic and I can stop listening to it :) if anyone else likes them check this out asap u won't regret it. The song is called someday's gone and their new album I'd out next year :D enjoy

After hours of painstaking work I finally finished my top hat, corset and couture project. :( I'm still in post deadline stress mode, so I thought I wud cheer myself up by showing you a photo from the little photoshoot we had.
Both pictures are the same and are my favourites from the lot, they were taken by my teacher and modelled by a good mate. This picture will hopefully be going into my portfolio so this is where I need some help. Which one do u prefer? The original slightly fixed one or the one with an effect? Or do u have any suggestions of something I cud do to make it look better?
